In a performance tribute preceding the screening of a film-in-progress Surrounded by sunsets, Ilias Gkionis aka GingerΈλα, the film’s protagonist, and I invited to step into our kinship network extending beyond death. Through a perfor­mance tribute to Zackie Oh and intertwined narrative threads reflecting our lives’ trajectories and encounters called into being by grief, loss, and the making of this film itself, we celebrate the ongoingness of love, memory and legacy, unfolding through time, off-screen and on-stage.

In einer performativen Hommage vor dem Screening des Work-in-Progress-Films Surrounded by sunsets luden Ilias Gkionis aka GingerΈλα, Protagonist des Films, und ich dazu ein, in ein Verwandtschaftsnetzwerk einzutreten, das über den Tod hinausreicht.

Durch eine performative Widmung an Zackie Oh und verwobene narrative Fäden, die durch Trauer, Verlust und den Entstehungsprozess des Films selbst hervorgebracht wurden, feiern wir die Fortdauer von Liebe, Erinnerung und Vermächtnis – sich entfaltend über Zeit, off-screen und on-stage.
